In-Floor Radiant Heat & Snow Melt Systems

Luxury Comfort From the Ground Up - In-Floor Heating & Snow Melt Systems in the GTA

Two premium comfort features that most HVAC contractors do not install, and a specialty of ours. Consumers Choice designs and installs hydronic in-floor radiant heating systems and outdoor hydronic snow melt systems for luxury custom builds and high-end residential properties across Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, and Toronto.

If you are building a custom home, completing a major renovation, or upgrading a high-end property, these systems deliver a level of comfort and convenience that conventional HVAC simply cannot match.

In-Floor Radiant Heating Systems

In-floor radiant heating works by circulating warm water through a network of hydronic tubing embedded beneath your floor surface. That heat radiates upward evenly through the floor, warming the room from the ground up, with no forced air, no vents, no drafts, and no noise.

The result is a type of warmth that is difficult to replicate with any conventional system. Even heat distribution across the entire floor surface. Comfortable temperatures at foot level, where you actually feel it. And total silence, no air handler cycling on and off throughout the day and night.

What Types of Projects Is In-Floor Heating Right For?

In-floor radiant heating is particularly well-suited to:

  • Custom home builds designed into the floor structure from the beginning for the cleanest, most efficient installation.

  • High-end renovations and additions especially open-plan living spaces, master suites, and bathrooms.

  • Finished basements radiant heat solves the cold floor problem that plagues most basements.

  • Kitchens and great rooms large open spaces that are difficult to heat evenly with forced air.

  • Homes with allergy or air quality concerns no forced air means no circulated dust, allergens, or dry air.

How We Design & Install In-Floor Radiant Systems

Every in-floor heating system we install is engineered to your specific project. We calculate the heating load for each zone, select tubing layout patterns to ensure even heat distribution, size the boiler correctly to match the system demand, and install the complete system, including manifolds, pumps, controls, and thermostat zoning.

We work closely with builders and general contractors on new construction projects and can coordinate the mechanical scope within active build schedules. Our systems are compatible with tile, polished concrete, engineered hardwood, and other floor finishes we advise on compatibility during the design phase.

Hydronic Snow Melt Systems

A hydronic snow melt system is a network of tubing embedded beneath your driveway, walkway, or outdoor surface. Warm water circulates through the tubing and heats the surface from below, melting snow and ice automatically as it accumulates, no shovelling, no ice melt chemicals, no slip hazards.

Snow melt systems are increasingly popular in high-end GTA properties where safety, curb appeal, and low-maintenance living are priorities. They are also highly practical for steep driveways, front walkways with heavy foot traffic, and properties where managing winter ice is a persistent concern.

How Snow Melt Systems Work

Our hydronic snow melt systems use the same basic principle as in-floor radiant heating: warm water circulated through tubing heats the surface above it. The system can be set to activate automatically based on temperature and moisture sensors, so it runs only when snow or freezing conditions are detected. Once installed, the system operates with minimal ongoing maintenance.
